Biography

   Shmul Gabriel ben Yitzhak

                  (Samuel Gabriel Zuckerman)

            Cheshvan 17, 5723 - Shvat 28,5769   

Samuel Zuckerman died suddenly on February 22, 2009.  His death was a heart attack from HIV treatment medications. He was 47 yrs old. Sam was survived by his parents, Solomon & Esther (Guggenheim) Zuckerman, of Old Glenn Head, NY and Naples, FL. His Sister Elaine (David) Pearlman of West Hampton, NY and their children Channah, Meir, Sarah, Ephraim, and Rachel. His Sister Devorah (Uri) Rabin and their children Yaffa and Ariel of Zichron Yaakov, Israel. Sam was also survived by his loving and dedicated spouse of 9 years, Chaim Yosef (Scott) Miller. Sam was an Attorney in Manhattan serving clients in Entertainment Law for 21 years with the William Morris Agency. As did his Father, Solomon. Sam resided in Manhattan, New York. He was a Congregant, along with his spouse Chaim, of Lincoln Square Synagouge in Manhattan, NY. As well as The Hampton Synagouge in East Hampton, NY.

Services are private at the request of Sam`s Family. Graveside Services at 2:00 p.m. on Monday for those of either Congregation wishing to attend. Shivah will begin at 4:30 pm on Monday at Shmul and Chaim`s residence at 15 Central Park West in Manhattan. And will end at 8:00 p.m. Shivah will continue at the same address Tuesday thru Thursday from 2 until 7 p.m., breaking on Friday & Saturday for Shabbos. A last day of Shivah will be held at the Synagouge on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until ma`ariv services at 4:12 p.m. A Memorial Service in honor of Sam`s life and his generous spirit will be held at the Waldorf Astoria on Sunday February 29, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a meal proceeding. Contributions in Shmul`s memory may be made to the Samuel Zuckerman Foundation, AMFAR, GMHC, or to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA.
